Research. Before posting an item‚ research similar products on the Overstock.com Auctions site to get an idea of your item’s market value. Pricing your item appropriately is essential to attracting motivated buyers.
Consider your Options. Examine your selling options when posting an item. You can choose to have a traditional bidding-style auction or you can set a Make it Mine® price so that buyers can purchase your product immediately.
List Your Item. Click on the Sell an Item link found at the top of every page. Then complete the form to finish your transaction. Before filling out the form‚ check out the tips below:
Photos. We recommend including photos of your item; they will increase your item’s marketability. You can upload the first photo at no cost. You may add up to five more photos for just $0.10 each. If you are hosting the photographs yourself‚ include them in your personal HTML at no extra cost. Make sure your photos are clear and in focus. Try capturing various angles, including close-up views to show detail. Avoid using very low- or high- resolution photographs.
